Internet bar films to be charged |

It is learnt that, the trial project of "internet bar digital release platform for domestic films" co-sponsored by Film Copyright Society of China and a cultural company will be launched on May 15, which will charge the internet bar and long-distance bus for using copyrights of domestic films, and the spreading range will concern 31 provinces (districts, cities). Film Copyright Society of China previously has instituted a standard for the charge of film copyrights, and plans to collect copyright fees from the internet bars and long-distance buses. According to materials, the predecessor of Film Copyright Society of China was Chinese Film Copyright Protection Society, which was established on October 23, 2009 with the approval of National Copyright Administration (NCAC) and State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT), and it was transferred from industrial right maintenance organization to collective management organization and became the fifth copyright collective management societies following music, audio and video, text, photograph. |
