On May 12, Deputy Director of State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) He Hua met with the Executive Vice President of QUALCOMM Donald. Rosenberg and his group in Beijing. The two sides made communications on IPR related topics.
He Hua expressed that, U.S. QUALCOMM is a well-known Company in communications industry, which attaches great importance on IPR and R&D investment, and is the important client of SIPO. SIPO is willing to communicate with clients to hear opinions and suggestions, especially the opinions and suggestions concerning the revised "Patent Law". He Hua stressed that, SIPO continuously increases the investment for the training of personnel, strive to enhance the quality of examination, and has formed a set of more complete quality evaluation system of patent examination.
Rosenberg briefly introduced the basic situation and main businesses of their company. He expressed that, QUALCOMM is with a strong interest in IPR access and protection, and 60% personnel of the company are engineers and engage in R&D work. QUALCOMM applied lots of patents in U.S. as well as in China.
