Chengdu launches plan for IPR strategy |

Recently, Chengdu in Sichuan Province has formally issued "Plans for Intellectual Property (IPR) Strategy 2010" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"). Chengdu will increase the patent applications and ensure a 20% increase rate by guaranteeing the quality at the same time, and play the role of enterprises in innovation and realize an increase rate of 25% for enterprises. It is learnt that, Chengdu will reinforce independent innovation by focusing on industry technology alliance and so on, make breakthroughs in key technologies and generic technologies facilitating the development of enterprises, cultivate and obtain a batch of independent IPRs, and boost the innovation in emerging industries. Meanwhile, "Management Measures of Chengdu on Patent Funding" is going to be adjusted this year and will favor the invention patents and service inventions with great driving force in industry innovation. As for the construction of patent data base, Chengdu Municipal Intellectual Property Office will fully startup the "patent information popularization plan" and will offer strategic analysis and patent data analysis platform for enterprises, especially the emerging enterprises and hi-tech industrial clusters. The "management information system for Chengdu and enterprises" under construction will also be in use this year. The system will improve the management of IPR information for IPR trial units and all districts and counties and become a new channel for right assistant to enterprises. More ever, Chengdu will fully implement the brand strategy this year and actively construct the model city. It will increase efforts on copyright protection, support traditional characteristic industries, boost the development of several core copyright industries leading by original works; encourage the copyright trading and construct the copyright exchange platform; cultivate a batch of market bodies with strong innovative ability and obvious effects in boosting the economic development. |
