Zhejiang: Shaoxing becomes trademark model city |

It is learnt from Shaoxing Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce in Zhejiang Province on May 31 that, Shaoxing became one of the first batch of model cities for the implementation of national trademark strategy approved by National Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC). Shaoxing is the only city that gains the honor in the prefecture-level cities in Zhejiang, and the sub-provincial cities of Hangzhou and Ningbo also gained the title at the same time. "Model city for the implementation of national trademark strategy" is an activity of SAIC on the implementation of "The Outline of National IP Strategy", which aims at forming the regional characteristic economies with trademark by the implementation of trademark strategy, cultivating a batch of independent well-known trademarks, promoting various areas and enterprises to enhance independent innovation ability and reinforce core-competitiveness, and boost economic upgrading and transition and transfer of development method. Up to now, Shaoxing has accumulatively more than 23,000 registered trademarks, 38 well-known trademarks with administrative cognizance, 323 Zhejiang Provincial Well-known Trademarks and 8 provincial trademark professional brand bases. Shaoxing also has the title of "China Brand City". |
