China IC patent applications increased |
| In 2009, the international financial crisis brought greater impacts to the global semiconductor market, and China also had negative growth in the IC industry for the first time. However, under the background of the vigorous development in strategic emerging industries by the country, the emerging fields including 3G, mobile communications, semiconductor lighting and automotive electronics are developing rapidly, and the huge market gestated therefore will make Chinese IC industry scout opportunities for development in the face of serious challenges. Along with the implementation of the key projects of No.01 and No.02 defined in the "National Long-term Plan for Science and Technology Development" and the programme of "Twelfth Five-Years Plan" for IC industry, the domestic IC industry will welcome a new round of development. |
