The "My Low-carbon Life" innovation competition was officially held in Beijing recently.
The Chinese Technology Association, CAST science center and China Association for Science Information Center hosted the event.
The competition focused on the activity of National Popular Science Day in Beijing and the theme is "Stick to scientific development. Achieve a low-carbon life," in order to inform the public about carbon awareness, advocate energy conservation and carbon reduction and show the public's creativity in developing ways to live low-carbon lifestyles.
The competition calls for entries from the public. It is divided into "the creativity of low-carbon life" and "the works of low-carbon life" categories. The works involve daily life, science and technology and other areas. The expert panel will select the 70 low-carbon innovations and works and award certificates issued by the Chinese Technology Association.
