Tianjin to support S&T SMEs in patent applications

The reporter learnt that Tianjin Municipal Intellectual Property Office lately instituted and issued Action Scheme of Tianjin Municipal IP Office on Promoting the Development of S&T SMEs (2010-2015). According to the Scheme, in the next five years，Tianjin will yearly raise 200 mln yuan to support S&T small enterprises for their patent creativity.

To encourage enterprises to create intellectual property (IP) and raise the quality and quantity of patents, Tianjin will launch the activity of One Enterprise Having One Brand and One Product Owning One Patent to guide S&T SMEs to increase investment in IP and realize the goal of each enterprise possessing one indigenous intellectual property right and one indigenous brand. Furthermore, Tianjin will subsidize enterprises for their patent applications. Besides, for the first patent application, Tianjin will also reward the enterprise.
