2011 China IP seminar held in Shanghai |
On June 24, 2011 China intellectual property seminar was jointly held by All-China Patent Agents Association and the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI) in Shanghai, participated by over 370 attendees including government officials, patent examiners, patent lawyers, patent agents and representatives from 19 countries, such as China, the United States, France, Japan, Korea and Australia, and from the World Intellectual Property Organization and the European Patent Office (EPO). He Hua, deputy commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office, attended and addressed the opening ceremony. At the seminar, He Hua and officials of EPO, U. S. Patent and Trademark Office, Japan Patent Office and IP Australia, respectively introduced the development status of IP systems in their own country. Focusing on “requirements in modifying patent specifications and claims under different judicial systems” and based on China’s administrative and judicial cases, the seminar conducted a comparative study on relevant provisions and practices with countries and areas such as Europe, the United States, Japan, Korea and Australia. |
