Shaanxi conducted "3.15" patent enforcement campaign |

patent enforcement group consisting of eight officials from Shaanxi Intellectual Property Office, Xi'an Intellectual Property Office and Yanta District Science and Technology Bureau, initiated a legal move towards Vanguard Supermarket and a shopping mall run by the Metro Group in Yanta District. The group investigated as many as 200 kinds of commodities such as electric pressure cookers, humidifiers, gas stoves and food and beverage in the two marketplaces, correcting wrongfully used patented marks. They also educated working staff on site about the IP-related knowledge, IPR filing procedures and patent search methods, in a bid to increase their IP awareness and safeguard the market order. After the inspection activity, an official of Shaanxi Intellectual Property Office said that Yanta District has made significant progress in IPR protection. He continued, "As IPR is one of the strongest incentives to stimulate innovations, relevant departments are required to reinforce patent enforcement to address major problems existing in IP field." |
