Beijing Film Association set up to protect IP in film |

Beijing Film Association was set up on September 19, which is formed by 128 film workers and scholars. After the opening ceremony, the association held the first delegate meeting for members, and during the 2 days' meeting, the first presidium for the council was formed and Zhang Heping, the initiator of the association and Chairman of Beijing People's Art Theatre, was elected as the chairman of the association. "Beijing is the center for the film creation, production, and communication in China and has a great deal of ace film talents across the country. Beijing Film Association is just the results of the film industry' development in Beijing, and will be a new platform for the healthy development of the industry in future," said Zhu Deming, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles. "As a private group under the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Beijing Film Association will become the bridge between the Party and Government, and Capital’s film maker and film artists." It is learnt that, the association will hold together all film workers in Beijing to boost the original film creation by exerting the predominance of locality and HR, hold workshops on film art, technology and the film industry, and conduct awarding and excellent characters evaluates.
