EU Trade Commissioner visits China IPR SME Helpdesk |
Lately, EU Trade Commissioner Catherine Ashton visited China IPR SME Helpdesk financed by the European Union with the purpose of furthering discussions on trade and investment issues in her capacity as co-chair of the EU-China High Level Economic and Trade Dialogue (HED). Commissioner Ashton expressed that, in the global economy, SMEs are susceptible to IP infringement and the European Union commits itself to meet all kinds of requirements of SMEs in the face of IP infringement. China IPR SME Helpdesk is to provide professional suggestions on IPRs for enterprises that make investment or do business and its work involves fighting against counterfeit commodities, distributing products, seeking for suppliers or other commercial partners, promoting products, conducting R&D, IP issues and patent license, purchasing original materials and spare parts in China, manufacturing goods in China and IP issues related to porcelain and medical appliance industries.
