Guizhou: 5 Depts. launches Instructive Opinions on Advancing the GI Protection |

Lately, Guizhou Province Intellectual Property Bureau and other four provincial departments launched jointly the "Instructive Opinions on the Geographic Indication Management for Agricultural Products in Guizhou (hereinafter referred to as the "Instructive Opinions")" and "Propositional List of Agricultural Products to be under Geographic Indication Protection in Guizhou (hereinafter referred to as the "List")". The Instructive Opinions gives specific provisions and requirements for the application, management, exertion and protection in 8 aspects, and has practical significance in instructing the geographic indication protection in the whole province. As for the List, it contains 30 agricultural products at provincial level, 136 at municipal level, and 121 others. The List acts as an important reference to the geographic indication application for each region and department. |
