Shandong: Yantai issues patent application subsidies |

On the morning of November 21, Yantai issued the first batch of patent application subsidies. The subsidies were arranged for 3,630 projects including 904 invention applications and 104 invantion authorizations, 87 utility model applications and 766 utility model authorizations, 1,155 design applications and 614 authorizations, the subsidies' sum were 1.757 million yuan. Yantai starts issuing subsidy to invention patents from 2004 and enlarged range of subsidy and enhanced subsidy standard in 2006. Up to now, the city has issued ten batches of subsidies with a sum of 9 million yuan. The release of patent subsidy policy encouraged inventors' enthusiasm in patent application, and Yantai achieved rapid incensement on patent application amount. Yantai has finished 5,007 pieces of patent applications from January to October 2009, up 18.59% compared with last year, among them, invention patent applications were 1,209 pieces, and the application of invention patents accounted for 24.15% of the same period's application amount. |
