MOFCOM holds training on IPR protection

On November 23 and 24, the Department of Treaty and Law of the Ministry of Commerce held a training to tell enterprises how to protect their IPR when participating exhibition and conference overseas. Inspector of the Department of Treaty and Law Yang Guohua, Vice Director of China International Electronic Commerce Center Wang Kaiqian and leaders from the Trademark Bureau and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade attended the opening ceremony.

Since some enterprises lack of IPR protection consciousness, they are frequently confronted with IPR disputes, even their exhibition works are confiscated due to IPR infringement. So it is the high time to conduct such a training for export-oriented enterprises.

The judicial system of Germany, countermeasures for exhibition IPR disputes in this country, IPR protection measures for 2010 CES and the practice of foreign-related IPR protection laws were the main contents of this training. www.ipr.gov.cn was the undertaker and representatives from nearly one hundred enterprises were the trainees.
