SIPO publicizes VIS in Beijing

On January 12, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) publicized visual image system (VIS) in Beijing. VIS defined a lot of graphs and characters such as SIPO signals, standard characters, the combination of signals and standard characters, standard colors and supplementary colors and supplementary graphs. The VIS will be used from that very day.

The VIS was designed by SIPO and examined by the Standardization Committee of SIPO. It included basic design system and application design system. The basic design system was compulsory standard and all the design criterions must be followed; application design system was selective standard.

The related principal of the General Affairs Office of SIPO said that, the design and publication of VIS is an important measure for SIPO to standardize its service, spread IPR culture, enhance IPR consciousness of the whole society and improve the public’s IPR attainment.
