Henan: Luoyang ranks second in patent applications

On the afternoon of January 13, Vice Mayor of Luoyang Liu Zhihui investigated on enterprises' IPR work together with related principals of Luoyang Municipal IP Office.

During his investigation, Liu Zhihui visited Luoyang SBI Special Bearing Co., Ltd. and knew about the enterprise's development, technological R&D, patent filings, and intellectual property protection and administration. Liu Zhihui pointed out that, patent application should be considered in the conceptive phrase and enterprises should fully use IPR strategy resources, enhance IPR consciousness, better IPR managerial system and actively participate in the pilot work of IPR pledge loan.

Last year, patent applications soared in Luoyang and invention patent applications took up 30%. As of the end of last November, the patent applications in the whole city reached 1,937 pieces, ranking second in the whole province. Of these applications, invention patents were 586 and granted patents were 1,300 pieces.
