Shandong's own TV and film brand makes trophy |

East China's Shandong Province has put itself on the country's TV and film industry map in recent years. The mission was accomplished with a number of Shandong-produced productions winning a string of trophies at major industry award shows. "An Adventure to Guandong", a TV series based on the history of people migrating from Shandong to Northeast China, won the most coveted Best TV Series Award at the 24th Golden Eagle Awards, the highest honor in the Chinese TV industry. And the movie "Yimeng Sisters" won Best Screenplay at the Huabiao Awards, China's governmental film prize.
In recent years Shandong-based TV and film productions have been at the forefront of the industry, winning accolades from both audiences and critics. Now, the provincial film corporation plans to release four to six films and around 4-hundred episodes of TV dramas annually, and to establish a cultural industry base honing young movie talents. |
