Sanyi trademark grows in hardship |

Sanyi trademark has been in trouble of lawsuits since its birth. In the past, Sanyi Group sued by Benz in China and now it is facing international lawsuits. Once registered in a country, Sanyi trademark is to be filed with opposition by Benz and awaits verdict by the court there. First war with Benz The rudiment for Sanyi trademark was formed in late 1990s and was designed by a teacher in Loudi, Hunan Province. At the beginning, the designer used three "1"s to express the three top goals for Sanyi. After Sanyi trademark was registered in China in the initial developing stage of the company, Daimler-Benz took legal actions against Sanyi. At the court in Beijing, board chairman for Sanyi Liang Wengen confuted Benz's claim of imitation. Afterwards, Sanyi registered all the 45 classes' trademarks, was cognized as Chinese well-renowned trademark, and formed a relatively perfect protection system for trademarks. International registration with obstacles In 2003, Sanyi began the registration globally. It applied the registration applications in a great deal of countries, some registered with figure and others with the figure and word "SANY" together. In 2005 and 2006, Sanyi started the big plan for trademark application in countries and districts outside China. Benz filed 50 times in total during publications of different trademark registration against Sanyi. Up to now, Sanyi has applied over 800 trademark registrations in 141 countries. Heavy responsibilities in trademark protection With the expedition of internationalization, there is no time to delay for Sanyi in trademark registration globally. |
