Shandong Electric Power Corporation enhances independent innovation

On December 24, 2009, Shandong S&T Progress Encouragement Committee held a meeting to publicize 2009 Shandong S&T Progress Award and six achievements of Shandong Electric Power Corporation won prizes including two first prizes.

In 2009, Shandong Electric Power Corporation concentrated on tackling key technology puzzles, innovated enterprises' management modes and developed innovation activities among the mass. Shandong Electric Power Corporation made a batch of S&T achievements with proprietary intellectual property rights since it persisted in independent innovation. To be specific, the corporate won 22 S&T progress prizes at provincial or minister levels in the year 2009, obtained 12 management innovation achievements, filed 158 patent applications of which 110 were granted and accomplished the yearly patent work goal set by State Grid. Shandong Electric Power Corporation also promoted and applied new technologies and achievements, which was helpful to raise the level of grid operation and enterprise management.
