It is learnt from Fuzhou Customs on 18th that, in 2009, Fuzhou Customs in Fujian Province increased 45 new records for IPRs of enterprises, the record number for IPRs of Fujian Customs jumped to the third in the whole country, the copyright record number of the Customs ranks the first in the country, accounting for 56.5% of the copyright records amount of General Administration of Customs.
It is showed by the questionnaire survey on IPR protection of enterprises conducted by Fuzhou Customs that, 51% of the domestic enterprises owning independent intellectual property rights, of which 30% have more than two pieces of intellectual property rights, about 10% of the enterprises owning more than 10 intellectual property rights; compared with the survey done three years ago, domestic enterprises' IPR ownership rate and amount are increased by 80% respectively.
Fuzhou Customs completely meets needs of enterprises based on survey, as well as adjusts intellectual property protection strategies, and carries out intellectual property protection work focusing on "three keys".
The first is to widely publicize effectiveness of law enforcement on IPR protection and related laws and regulations focusing on increasing public awareness of IPR protection.
The second is to carry out special training and seminars to help enterprises to find effective customs' protection focusing on guiding domestic enterprises on IPR record.
The third is to fully implement the construction work on IP protection ability for customs' officers, and invite some domestic enterprises to carry out training on anti-counterfeit skills for front-line customs' officers focusing on enhancing the capacity of the customs on independent IP protection.
