China participates in Asian-Pacific International Seminar on ICH |
On January 14, Asian-Pacific International Seminar on Intangible Cultural Heritage was held in Tokyo of Japan. The ICH experts from China, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Thailand, Fiji, Philippines, Bhutan, Vietnam, Mongolia, India and other countries attended the seminar. The seminar was undertaken by Tokyo Cultural Property Research Institute which is an independent administrative corporation by Japanese National Cultural Property Organization. The seminar discussed the ICH protection in Asian-Pacific and each country's protection situation and future tasks. Director of Tokyo Cultural Property Research Institute Norio Suzuki attended the meeting and delivered a speech, and Director of International Cultural Affairs Office of UNESCO Timothy Curtis made a keynote speech. Researcher of China Art Research Institute and Executive Director of Preparatory Office of Asian-Pacific regional Intangible Cultural Heritage Center Jiang Dong made a speech entitled "Chinese traditional culture, heritage conservation" at the meeting. |
