Wuhan "hi-tech enterprises corps" has a large number of "disarmament", only less than 17% of enterprises were re-identified as hi-tech enterprises and access to national preferential policies.
Wuhan Science and Technology Bureau disclosed that, according to the new national appraisement standards, the total number of hi-tech enterprises in Wuhan has decreased from 2,552 to 433 and reduced 83.03%.
The newly registered businesses will enjoy the preference of income tax discount from 33% to 15%. Compared with the previous old policy of "tax-free in first two years, and half in the third year", benefits are obviously tightened.
Since 2008, China changed the previous loose standards for hi-tech enterprises' identification, which transferred from manufacturing enterprises into the main R&D-type, and transferred from the hi-tech products catalog into the key hi-tech fields supported by country, and the quantitative criteria needs to be over 71 points . "Threshold" is high, but the team is more authentic. The related parties expressed that the new standards will promote a large number of manufacturing enterprises with hi-tech products transferring to independent research and development.
In Wuhan, 42% of the newly indentified "hi-tech enterprises" were from outside of East Lake High-tech Zones, increased by 19.9 percent. Among these enterprises, not only does each one have one core intellectual property, but each had at least one realization of S&T achievements transformation in the last 3 years, and power and size are in the forefront in China.
It is introduced that, hi-tech enterprise certification is not a life-long tenure, which will be canceled if the core intellectual property has not been translated in three years.
