Chinese vice-premier meets leaders of WIPO

DAVOS, Switzerland, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice-Premier Li Keqiang, in meetings with leaders of foreign countries and international organizations here on Thursday, stated China's commitment to enhancing international cooperation in fighting trade protectionism and boosting global economy.

During his meeting with WIPO Director-General Francis Gurry, Li said the Chinese government attaches great importance to intellectual property rights protection, which is crucial for both China and the rest of the world.

He said China has been continuously strengthening intellectual property rights protection to respect knowledge and innovation in the process of building an innovative nation. China is willing to enhance cooperation with WIPO and make unremitting efforts for intellectual property rights protection.

Gurry praised China's active efforts and its remarkable progress in this field.
