Zhuzhou: sterile line rice "株1S" gains two awards |
| Recently, Zhuzhou City, the "selection and application of thermo-sensitive genic sterile line rice ‘株1S’ " under the auspices of Agricultural Science Institution in Zhuzhou gained Shennong China Agricultural Science and Technology Progress Award issued by China Agricultural Science and Technology Prize Award Committee. This is another award of "株1S" after the removal of provincial scientific and technological progress prize in the end of last year. It is understood that the 35 new varieties and new combination of rice bred with "株1S" were accumulatively promoted to be cultivated in 5000 hectares' rice area in South China in recent years, and increased economic benefits of 1.65 billion yuan. |
