Sichuan to cultivate hundreds of well-known brands in 2010

It is learnt from Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision that, Sichuan is going to energetically promote well-known brand strategy and develop brand province. Sichuan plans to cultivate 30 China Well-known Brands and 300 Sichuan Well-known Brands in 2010.

It is reported that in 2010, Sichuan Province will exert the leading role of famous brands, expand the coverage area of brand cultivation, and make it become a booster of local economic development. In 2010, Sichuan will cultivate a group of brand-name products with independent intellectual property rights and high value-added focusing on strategic and emerging industries. At the same time, Sichuan will develop itself into a powerful province in industrial brands, strengthen the province's "7 +3" industrial brand strategy cluster, and promote industrial alliance.

Moreover, Sichuan will also promote the protection work on Geographical Indication (GI) products, recommend local famous and excellent characteristic products to declare the protection of national GI products, further boost agricultural industrialization, and strive to get 65 national GI protection products in 2010.
