Jilin and CAS sign innovation and cooperation agreement

On March 7, Governor of Jilin Province Wang Rulin and Executive Deputy President of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Bai Chunli signed a technical innovation and cooperation agreement concerning jointly boosting the construction of Changchun, Jilin and Tumen Development and Openness Forerunner Zone.

According to Vice Governor of Jilin Province Chen Xiaoguang, the two parties will focus on the backbone industries of Jilin Province to quicken the construction of key S&T industry base and model zones, advance talent cultivation and build national and provincial key laboratories, engineering technic research centers, S&T innovation centers and enterprises' technology innovation centers. The two sides also decided to cooperate in the eight fields including auto, petroleum and chemical, manufacturing of farm products, photoelectron, drugs, new materials, high speed EMUs and food increase. Moreover, Jilin and CAS will cultivate a group of brand products with independent IPR in the machining of corn, ginseng and deer products.
