Tianjin Customs investigates trademark infringement cases

With the coming of 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, the sports commodities, particularly those bearing labels related to the match sold very well in the international market. To gain profits, some offenders began to distribute such sports commodities in an illegal way. Recently, Tianjin Customs investigated two cases involving infringing the exclusive rights of the trademark of 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

One case is concerning 45,000 or more footballs, which would be exported to Syria by some company of Anhui and all these footballs bore striking signs like "FIFA"or"2010 SOUTH AFRICA WORLD CUP"; the other case was about 5,460 bags bearing "SOUTH AFRICA 2010" which would be exported to Algeria by some company in Shenzhen City.
