Henan starts special campaign to protect World Expo IPR

Days ago, Henan's eight departments including Henan Provincial IP Office, Henan Provincial Public Security Department, Zhengzhou Customs, Henan Administration for Industry and Commerce, Henan Provincial Copyright Bureau, the People's Procuratorate of Henan Province, Henan Branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Information Office of Henan Provincial People's Government jointly started a special campaign on 2010 World Expo IPR protection and worked out specific work plan.

The special campaign will mainly centralize on the following aspects. First, publicize Henan's IPR protection work and set a good image of the province in IPR protection; second, operate administrative law enforcement and judicial protection at the same time and severely hit infringing activities related to World Expo IPR; third, investigate network infringement actions involving World Expo; fourth, enhance customs protection and beat counterfeit and pirated goods in import and export channel; fifth, end IPR cases as soon as possible to warn other offenders; sixth, work out early-warning system, properly dispose sudden IPR affairs to ensure the normal exhibition order of World Expo; seventh, provide good IPR service for export-oriented enterprises and foreign enterprises and instruct them to enhance IPR awareness.
