Inner Mongolia：Baotou becomes construction city of IP model |

In the end of March this year, SIPO carried out comprehensive appraisal to the cities applying establishing national IP model city and finally approved eight cities including Baotou as the construction cities of national IP model city. Baotou was the only city that gains the honor in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In recent years, the average annual growth rate of the patent applications of the whole city in Baotou was above 30%. The amount of patent application exceeded 500 in 2009, the yearly output value of patent products was about 6 billion yuan, at present, Baotou has 7 national patent pilot enterprises, 2 national enterprises patent work communication stations, and 10 patent information platforms and database. Baotou also released and implemented "Ordinance on Patent Promotion and Protection in Baotou", issued "Working Plan on the Construction of National IP Model City", and ranked the first in the whole province and was included in the advanced range nationally on patent policies and regulations construction and patent achievements transfer. |
