2010 brand product application work starts in Shaanxi and enterprises should go to local brand offices to file applications for their brands, including those brands which were recognized in 2007 but have expired.

Shaanxi regulated that, the following five key industries and fist products can be given propriety in brand applications. First, newly emerging industries like new energy, new materials and biology and key products from low carbon industry; second, key products in equipment manufacturing, energy and chemical industry, hi-techs, traditional industry clusters and fittings in equipment manufacturing; third, products that can advance agricultural development and the adjustment of economic structure and increase farmers' income; fourth, products with proprietary brands and large export quantity and substitutes of import products; fifth, geographical indication protection products and the key products that can boost the development of county-level economy.
