China: 25 departments to organize activities during IPR publicity week

April 26 this year is the 10th World IPR Day and to well do the IPR propaganda work across the nation, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) and other 24 departments will conduct IPR publicity activities from April 20 to 26.

SIPO released this at the press conference on April 15 and the official of this office said that the theme of the publicity week is "Creation, Protection and Development", aiming to raise the IPR awareness of the whole society, advance China's IPR cause to develop well and fast and create sound public opinions for the construction of innovation-based nation.

It is reported that, during the publicity week, 25 ministries and commissions will organize various kinds of activities, e.g. the Supreme People's Court will publicize yearly report on IPR cases '09, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce will published Yearly Development Report of China's Trademark Strategy, the National Copyright Administration will launch a series of publicity activities on copyright protection at Shanghai Expo, on the very day of April 26, the SIPO will send IPR short messages to cell phone uses and the memorial envelopes for the 10th IPR Day will be formally issued on the same day.
