Guangdong: IPR cases dropped in Dongguan |

On April 14, Dongguan Municipal Procuratorate in Guangdong Province publicized "Investigation Report on IPR Cases (2008-2009) in Dongguan" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report") and made an analysis of the situation of the IPR case hearing, characteristics and difficulties for the cases in recent years. The Report showed that, Dongguan's economic development was evidently lowed down due to the financial crisis and IPR cases relating to the economy were decreased, with 45.5% down in case hearing. Meanwhile, the frequently occurred case of trade secret infringement hasn't been found in Dongguan. Besides, the Report also revealed four characteristics of the IPR cases: with a focus on exclusive rights of trademark and commodity counterfeiting, larger amount of money involved, and infringers strong in anti-investigation. |
