Hunan: Changsha promulgates patent awards measures |

It is learnt from the IP work meeting in Changsha that, according to the newly released "Regulations on the Subsidy of Patent Applications in Changsha", the subsidies that should be issued after patent authorizations before could be issued during the applying process and the remainders will be added after authorizations; the subsidy for the invention patent applications of enterprises, organs, communities and research institutions which were authorized was increased from 1,000 yuan to 2000 yuan; the subsidy for the utility model patent applications was increased from 500 yuan to 600 yuan; and the subsidy standard of foreign patent applications was two times of the former standard. Along with the institution and release of the "Outline of Intellectual Property Strategy of Changsha", all the departments released intensives policies one after another to effectively boost the upgrading of IP creation ability of the whole city. Changsha had 6,182 domestic patent applications last year, and the invention patents accounted for 41.2% of them. |
