Liaoning: Dalian promulgates IP white book

On April 20, Dalian Municipal People's Government officially promulgated the white book of "the Situation of IP Development (2009) in Dalian", which completely expounds the IP creation, application, protection and management in Dalian for the first time in Liaoning Province.

Dalian's IP business was developed rapidly in 2009, all the counties (cities) and districts in the administrative region set up IP management departments and consummated IP management systems; the patent applications in the whole city reached 11,341 pieces, increased by 40% compared with the previous year; the domestic trademark applications were 4156 pieces, increased by 35%; Dalian Municipal Intermediate People's Court totally accepted 321 IP cases, increased by 87%.

Dalian will completely carry out IP strategy, enhance the whole society's conciseness on IP and create the favorable atmosphere for innovation.
