IPR white paper 2009 published for Ningbo city |

On April 22, Ningbo people's government in Zhejiang Province held a press conference and introduced the intellectual property protection in Ningbo last year, and issued the IPR white paper 2009 and top ten IPR issues. According to the assistant leader of the national IPR model city working group and director of Ningbo Municipal Department of Science and Technology Zheng Yu, Ningbo had 22,686 patent applications last year and ranked the 4th among the 15 sub-provincial cities nationally; the patent grants were 15,824 with a growth rate of 60.1%, ranking the 3rd among sub-provincial cities; the copyright registrations for computer software were 528 pieces and trademarks were 7,097. Last year, the city also successfully passed the examination for the national IPR model city's construction and has been recognized as the national IPR model city. The IPR white paper introduces the main tasks and achievements in IPR protection with respect to the construction of operation mechanism for IPR system, administrative protection of IPR, judicial protection, and IPR awareness enhancement. |
