Beijing court to increase IPR trial courts |
On the morning of April 22, Beijing People's Government held a press conference on the intellectual property protection. At the meeting, presiding judge for the intellectual property division of Beijing Higher People's Court Chen Jinchuan expressed that Beijing is expected to have new intellectual property (IP) courts this year. In 2009, there were four IP courts in districts of Chongwen, Xuanwu, Shijingshan and Changping in Beijing approved by Supreme People's Court. This year, the court system of Beijing will undertake researches among grass root courts to see if there is need for new IPR courts. "Once the situation permits, we will set up more IP divisions in district courts to further reinforce the judicial power". |
