Zhang Xiangchen inspects efforts on software legitimization in Gansu

An inspection group led by Zhang Xiangchen, Assistant Minister of China's Ministry of Commerce (Mofcom), visited Xi'an and Lanzhou, capital city of Shaanxi and Gansu Province, on October 21-22 to investigate the progress of software legalization as required by an inter-ministerial joint conference dedicated to promoting the use of authorized software.

Composed of officials and technical experts from the National Copyright Administration, China Securities Regulatory Commission, China Banking Regulatory Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Department of Treaty and Law of Mofcom, the group investigated the use of legal software in the two cities through opinions solicitation, information retrieval and on-site inspection. Zhang also visited the Department of Commerce to hear working reports in the two provinces.
