Hefei of Anhui Province convenes an IP joint meeting on October 18; Hefei had 1,307 patent authorizations in 2008, accounting for 30% of patents granted in the whole province and ranked first in the whole province.

Since 2008, Hefei has had 11,000 various registered trademarks including 16 China Well-known Trademarks, 147 Anhui Provincial Famous Trademarks and 182 Hefei Municipal Famous Trademarks. The amounts of trademark registration, China Well-known Trademark and Provincial Famous Trademark hold ranked first in the province.
