Vice SIPO Director met his counterpart from Switzerland

On November 3, Deputy Director of the State Intellectual Property Office Li Yuguang met with the visiting Felix Addor, Vice Director of Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property. The two parties exchanged viewpoints on the revised Patent Law and the Implementing Regulations. Li Yuguang firstly introduced the function of the SIPO and relevant work in charge. Li put forward that, Switzerland pays much significance to innovation. Analysis on the patent applications from Switzerland indicated that Swiss SMEs possess strong innovative capability. The SIPO will provide entire service for the applicants to help them know China's patent system and utilize such system to the most. Li Yuguang hoped that China and Switzerland could deepen the cooperation in IP service and protection. Felix Addor admired the revision of the Patent Law and expressed that Swiss enterprises cared much for the revised Patent Law and Switzerland was willing to enhance cooperation with China.
