SAIC stresses implementation of trademark strategy

Vice Director of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) Fu Shuangjian recently pointed out that, the governmental departments at all levels can take various kinds of inspiring measures to arouse enterprises' enthusiasm in carrying out trademark strategy and support enterprises owning well-known trademark to restructure their brands by buying shares or acquisition.

Fu Shuangjian believed that, enhancing trademark registration and protection work and advancing the implementation of trademark strategy shoulders heavy responsibilities. To push the implementation of trademark strategy, the industry and commerce departments should well do the following work. First, steadily push the third revision work of Trademark Law and positively consummate relevant laws and regulations; second, continue to solve the problem that trademark examination and appraisal can not be done within a reasonable duration and build a long-term management mechanism on approving trademarks; third, reinforce administrative law enforcement, gradually raise supervision level and optimize the market environment for innovation and development; better the cognizance system of well-known and famous trademarks to foster proprietary renowned trademarks and lift enterprises' IPR creation ability.

Fu Shangjian also released that, China will revise Regulations on Cognizance and Protection of Well-known Trademarks, research the withdrawal mechanism of well-known trademarks and establish dynamic management model for well-known trademarks.
